What is the site like?

The venue is an Essex County Council Camp site and is mainly grass with a solid path running through the middle. All the entrances are fully lit and there are purpose build toilet blocks on site with disabled facilities.

What shall I wear?

As it is November, and in the evening, we would suggest you wear suitable warm clothing and sensible shoes or boots. As a Scout Group we would always recommend using multiple thin layers as opposed to one thick layer as this allows you better control. An outer waterproof layer is always useful both for rain and wind protection.

Will it still go ahead if it is raining?

Yes we will go ahead.

We do always aim to launch the fireworks at 8pm prompt, however safety is always our priority and we will not start until it is safe to do so. Safety issues could include technical reasons, unauthorised people in the firing area or weather issues. We will, however, keep you informed via the sound system of any delays.
